Healthy animals don’t need a gym to be strong, agile, and balanced. They also understand that nature has provided us with a way through a series of pandiculations, aka Somatics, which even humans can use to promote well-being, reduce your health care costs and enjoy a rather unique way to prevent/rehab injury and discomfort in your future.

Exercise is important and you know it. But what sets up exercise in the first place? Where did you learn all those wonderful patterns and sequences of movement?

You actually began pandiculating and learning movement in your mother’s womb… and then like a lot of human beings… we forgot about it.

Animals on the other hand continue to use this natural process of what appears to be a stretch, which is only part of what you’re watching. The rest is in the resetting phase of allowing the self-correction to take place… and this is how they effectively use their awareness to reset their muscles.

Every day they wakeup to a series of pandiculations and remind themselves throughout the course of the day. They’re just self-correcting as we are designed to do as well.

You’ll never see me raise my leg over my head as a practice. I can accomplish this merely by resetting the brain with the cortical actions of pandiculations known as Somatic Exercises. These exercises are what sets up movement in the first place.

Rather than huffing and puffing and straining, nature has a way to easily lengthen, strengthen and give you a balanced set of muscles. Essentially, you are re-programing your brain to the possibilites of movement.
