How it Works
1. An assessment of your standing posture and how you walk to pinpoint postural patterns. This helps determine where your session begins.
2. You are guided through easy, gentle, specific somatics exercises designed to reverse and release your specific pattern.
3. Your individual session is recorded for audio replay so you can progress towards improved function and a reduction in pain/stress/stiffness/tension or guarding.
YOU are the only person who can fix your muscular problems and issues. The somatics exercises take only a few minutes a day and they are the key to long term health and well-being.
You have 2 options to choose from: In Person or Webcam at Home
1. Personal Hands-on Body Work Session.
Addressing your specific needs, hands-on sessions accelerate your ability to recover from injury and heal yourself from chronic and acute pains, stiffness, and a variety of conditions.
Working with a certified Hanna Somatic Educator® is a gentle experience where you learn how your body can self-correct itself and overcome years of compensations and holding patterns.
Included are the reinforcement somatics exercises which you will learn to further your gains. Your session is recorded so you’ll know exactly what to do for yourself when you are at home.
In most cases, anywhere from 3 – 8 sessions is typical.
2. Webcam: 1 on 1 Somatics Exercise/Coaching Session.
>> You will be coached online in the comfort of your home or office. All you need is a computer with a webcam, smart phone or tablet. We use a secure and private web service where we’ll meet face to face.
>> We’ll talk about your individual needs, concerns and goals.
>> Then I’ll assess your posture and guide you with the self-corrective somatics exercises which are easy, gentle movement patterns designed to get your brain to reset tension levels so comfort returns.
>> The session will be recorded so you can listen and following along to practice and keep improving.
>> Ideally, we’d meet one week to 10 days later to reassess and determine the next course of action.
